Introducing Foundation Manager Mr Kevin O'Brien

Allow us to introduce Mr Kevin O'Brien to our Foundation and Old Boy's community. Kevin has taken up a part-time role as Manager of the Foundation and has penned a few words of introduction for you all... My connection to St Johns is through my boys Michael and Jack as well as my Marist connection from Marcellin College in Hamilton where I attended Secondary school and Hamilton Marist where I have coached and administered for 3 decades. I have also been actively involved with the Rugby programme for the last 6 years at St John’s. My attraction to the Foundation was the idea of getting involved in projects at St Johns, assisting boys who need help to attend the school as well as a desire to put a fund in place that will endure and help the school over many years to come. The Foundation has helped with numerous school projects over the years the latest being the new school gym. Our next project is the upgrade of the No 1 Field with irrigation, drainage and tiered seating on the bank, We are also setting out to improve our database so we can better communicate better with old boys and friends of St Johns.
